My first Postcrossing card! Lena lives in northern Germany, where she likes movies and running. She requested a vintage postcard with a monument where I’m from – this card shows Griffith Observatory, the Los Angeles institution where I first saw Saturn.
(I took this opportunity to use my languishing college German, and wished her a wonderful summer.)
When Lena receives this, she will register the postcard ID I’ve written at the top (and which I received at the same time Postcrossing issued me her address). Then, I’ll have proven myself a stand-up member of the community, and will be eligible to send more cards and receive them from new friends around the world.
